Waverly Early Head Start Center of Goodwill is a federally funded program for pregnant women and children birth to 36 months. The center provides comprehensive individualized early education experiences to enhance childrenās social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Pre-natal support and education are also provided. The program strives to enable parents to be the best caregivers and teachers for their children, as well as assist parents with meeting their own goals. It is our purpose to provide high quality services to children/families to empower them to meet their full potential. We promote school readiness and maintain partnerships with parents and the community. Discount food. (Pay $20 for $40-45 of groceries, EBT welcome, local sites in DC and MD.) Call for locations.
The Cavanagh House is a 501c3 free trade and paid apprenticeship program for women and men, 17 and older, in need of financial stability and independence. We train individuals in the trades of upholstery, sewing and product manufacturing. No skill set is required. We have two locations: 1100 Wicomico St in Baltimore City and 350 Main Street in Reisterstown.
