On site suboxone. Free day care for AA/NA meetings from 12-1 and 5:30-6:30 p.m. Open 6 a.m. until midnight. No appointment necessary. Women and men.

Drop-in employment resource program for adults experiencing unemployment or underemployment. Services include job preparedness, job leads and linkages to employment programs, internships and skill training programs. Free.

Front Door-offers rapid re-housing and shelter services for families experiencing homelessness in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Rapid re-housing and shelter diversion program, coupled with intensive case management and short-term rental assistance, serving 150 families and individuals in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Call for eligibility.

Station North Tool Library

The Station North Tool Library offers affordable access to tools, skills training, and workspace.

The Station North Tool Library (SNTL) offers introductory home repair and maintenance classes, as well as woodworking, metalworking, craft, and other repair classes. Scholarships are available to anyone facing a financial barrier. Members can also use the shop spaces on their own projects during open hours; membership is sliding scale based on income. Come learn a new skill, brush up on old ones, or just unwind and get creative. SNTL is a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone regardless of age, identity, or past experience.

STEP UP

Available to those on pre-trial release, probation to the District Court, and voluntary participants. Referrals to community partners who specialize in training for employment in varying fields. General job training; resume building, interviewing, and communication skills. Specialized training in construction, food, solar panel training and plumbing. Programs are offered by the courts relative to the needs and experience of the individual. Graduation ceremonies are held quarterly for those working at least 30 days.

The Cavanagh House

Learn a trade: sewing, upholstery, fashion apparel

The Cavanagh House is a 501c3 free trade and paid apprenticeship program for women and men, 17 and older, in need of financial stability and independence. We train individuals in the trades of upholstery, sewing and product manufacturing. No skill set is required. We have two locations: 1100 Wicomico St in Baltimore City and 350 Main Street in Reisterstown.

The Lazarus Rite Inc.

Earn money and benefits while obtaining skills training. Apprenticeships include Automotive Mechanic, Electrical Mechanic, Housing Inspector, Instrumentation Technician, Maintenance Technician, Operations Technician, Tree Trimmer and Utilities Installer and Repairer. Must have a GED or High School Diploma.

Turnaround Tuesday trains its participants to act on issues as leaders in their communities and in their workplaces. Through strategic partnerships with employers throughout the Baltimore region, Turnaround Tuesday has put over 600 (and counting!) Baltimore citizens to work in living wage jobs. Every Tuesday, participants, guests, and leaders gather at two training sites. We share our stories, listen to each other, and become leaders as we take part in this second chance jobs movement.
